3/26 – Visit To Celina Garden Club

with No Comments

It has been about two weeks since I planted my Keyhole Farm gardens for spring and, so far, plants are coming up well and greenery is becoming more visible.

On Monday, I visited Celina Garden Club in Celina, Texas, to chat with its approximately 34 members present about one of my favorite subjects, keyhole gardens. Several Celina Garden Club members have used our kits in past seasons and have been pleased with them and the school purchased two units.

According to the individual hosting the club, Pam Collins, she had great success with her garden last year. During a tour held last June that featured 400-500 visitors, the garden was very popular. She said she planted it in March. See the photo at the top to get a glimpse of that garden during the tour.

The other photo is of me speaking with some of the Celina Garden Club members. It was a very rewarding experience and everyone was polite. It is nice to be around people who love gardening. They discussed much during the business meeting, including upcoming events, meaning this club is very proactive and enthusiastic about the future of gardening and its impact on the community.

We have had several inquiries about the retractable cloth cover that we built from scratch and which was featured in an earlier March update.

Otherwise, there is not a lot to report. We are just staying extremely busy producing and shipping kits.
